DOHENY: 'Drive Me' Video Posted Online

DOHENY, the California-based band formed by ex-THE CULT touring bassist Billy Morrison (on guitar) and former PITCHSHIFTER frontman Jon "J.S." Clayden, have posted their "home movie" for the track "Drive Me" at this location.

In other news, Morrison has posted the following message on the band's official "blog": "So we need some extra love here today for Jon. He is very sick — in bed with mercury poisoning from swimming at one of California's 'beautiful' beaches. They actually closed the beach next to the one he went swimming in, due to a waste spill just off the coast. But just like in the movie 'Jaws', the Mayor of the town he went to obviously wanted to keep the tourist trade happening and the money coming in, and kept it open. Nice move, asshole. So now Jon is laid up at home, and sounds pretty disgusting on the phone. He obviously didnt make rehearsals yesterday, and needs a week of rest to get over the poison. So give him some love if you can. Get better soon, Jon.

"Rehearsals yesterday were great — we worked really hard on 'If I Could..' and its pretty much ready for vocals now — sounds rockin. 'California' is still causing problems, but we are trying all different ways to translate the killer recorded version into the live arena. We'll get it in the end. And the other new song we have been working on is called 'Does It Really Matter?' — we just started getting that together yesterday. The band sounds tight and I cant wait to play live soon."

As previously reported, DOHENY recently spent time at producer Scott Humphrey's (ROB ZOMBIE, POWERMAN 5000, TOMMY LEE) Chop Shop studio in the Hollywood Hills demoing three original tracks: "California", "Drive Me" and "Evergreen".

The band, who are currently unsigned, are rounded out by rhythm guitarist Sean Kipe, bassist Tony Freddo and drummer Colin LaRocque.
